Wet and squishy Squamish
We spent another lovely day in Seattle with Ben's Uncle Jeffrey, an amazing and incredible family member I had never met. We delighted in a meal at Calypso Kitchen...no...Coastal Kitchen, in the trendy Capitol Hill area of Seattle. He treated us to prime views of Seattle at Volunteer Park (just incredible conservatory, pines, and sequoias, that reminded me of the Stregga Nona books). Then we decided to bust on out of Seattle up north .... to Canada, where our cell phones are permanently on ROAMING!
Our campground (this is my second time carcamping with Ben, ever, I think, save a few times with CKWP) was just beautiful, in a true rainforest, with out of these world ferns. Of course the rainforest part really came true when it dumped rain on us two nights in a row. As real outdoorsmen and women know, even the nicest and rainproofest tent gets wet in full on all day and night rain. And we did. Soggy sleeping bags equals delightful nights of sleep...and pushed us back south, to Vancouver, where we've checked into the cutest hotel and are off to explore.
Not without a cup of coffee first, though!
